Our impact
Eight years.
Thousands of lives.
In Kenya, epilepsy is still widely believed to be a curse. Most people living with it will never see a neurologist. Many lose jobs, are pulled from school, or spend years in silence. Not because treatment is impossible, but because no one reached them with the truth.
This is the reality Kiserem Epilepsy Foundation was built to change.

Patients reached directly
People who received hands-on care, diagnosis support, or medication through our programmes, many for the first time in their lives.

People reached through awareness
Kenyans who now know epilepsy is treatable, not a curse. Reached through schools, churches, community events, and outreach missions across Kiambu County and beyond.

Free medications given every year
Anti-seizure medications provided at no cost to families who cannot afford them. For many, this is the difference between a managed condition and daily seizures.

EEGs conducted
Diagnostic tests that gave families answers they had waited years, sometimes decades, to receive. Each one opens the door to the right treatment.
The momentum behind the mission
Foundation establishes first medical camp and community outreach programme.
Expansion into schools and churches. Media Interviews for increased awareness.
500,000+ awareness reach. 50 children in active sponsorship. Amanda Award.
Over 50 children. Each one with a story.
Sponsorship gives a child living in difficult situations the stability to stay in school and build a future. Here are two of the children we have supported
